Brother
A Poem Written 05/15/2006

Brother 05/15/2006 David C. Roberson
Where are you roaming now, brother? Where do you lay your hard head? Where do you whisper poised prayers? Where will your soul go when you're dead? Maybe I think that it's all the same place. Maybe I think I could tell. Maybe I feel if I saw your sad face, I would know you were living in Hell. Where do my prayers for you go? When will you know you've been blessed? When will you face up to reason? When will you give up your crest Of twisted black thorns, of wailing brass horns, that urge you to shrug at the fates? If there is an ear with the power to hear, I pray that it isn't too late.

This is heartbreaking. 💚
