Podcasts, Poetry and a Toe That Betrayed Me
Okay, look — I know it’s been a whole-ass ten fifteen sixteen days since the last newsletter, but sometimes there’s just too much damn week, y’all!
I can’t pretend to remember everything that kept me from getting this damn thing out to you, nor would I expect you to care. Just know that many things happened. There was a wedding, company was had, allergies were experienced, and my toe exploded.
That’s right.
My toe exploded.
Or popped.
A thick sock seam met up with the wrong ridge in a tight right tennis shoe, and my toe paid the price. It got blistered as hell, and then pop went the piggie. Ripped a chunk of flesh away from the nail. It wasn’t pretty. Still isn’t.
I’d show you a picture of the toe, but you don’t want that.

Anyway, I’m gonna try to move on along and get to the shit I actually accomplished before I get distracted any more. I’m more sick of working on this draft than I am of seeing reels of Ariana and Cynthia whisper weepy affirmations to each other on their Wicked promotional tour.
Are we still canceling people? Can we cancel someone for too much airy, baby voice?

More importantly, is Ariana talking like that while she’s out here stealing men? Did she whisper baby-voice nothings at Pete Davidson behind-the-scenes at Saturday Night Live?
Do she be holding onto these mens’ dicks like she helt onto Cynthia’s fanger?
(the nails make her fingers look like they have fangs — get it?)
Are they still acting this weird for the new movie, or are they back to acting like themselves again? I saw Ariana’s just about got back to her Dangerous Woman hair… Whatever. Thoughts and prayers.
